The upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans means that CMA Fest will undergo significant changes in the coming years.
Although Nissan Stadium has been hosting the festival's main shows for many years, they will be moving to a new venue once construction is finished.
The Country Music Association stated that they will continue collaborating with the Tennessee Titans during CMA Fest each year. They are excited to host country fans in Nashville for the concerts at the new stadium.
A new stadium, called the New Nissan Stadium, will be constructed on the East Bank of the Cumberland River, east of the existing Nissan Stadium. The construction is expected to start this year and the stadium is planned to open in 2027.
Fans of country music can still reach the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The Titans' future home will be a covered stadium designed to provide fans with an improved experience, featuring wide views of Nashville, a see-through roof, and a large community area that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest, formerly known as Fan Fair, is an event that started in 1972 and has since become a major annual gathering for country music fans. Originally beginning with 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium, it has grown into a massive event that attracts tens of thousands of guests from around the world. Attendees can enjoy performances from over 250 acts on nine different stages throughout Music City.
