The Future of CMA Fest: What to Expect as the Event Moves to the New Nissan Stadium

  • by

In the future, the CMA Fest is expected to undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans. This means that the festival may not be the same as it has been in the past.

The main concerts of the festival have been held at Nissan Stadium for many years, but they will be relocated to the new venue once it is finished.

The Country Music Association has confirmed that they will collaborate with the Tennessee Titans annually during CMA Fest. They are excited to host country music fans in Nashville for the evening concerts at the new stadium.

A new stadium, called the New Nissan Stadium, will be constructed on the East Bank of the Cumberland River, located east of the current Nissan Stadium. The construction of the new stadium is planned to start this year, and it is expected to open in 2027.

Fans of country music can still get to the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.

The new stadium for the Titans will be indoors and focused on providing fans with a better experience. It will have large windows overlooking Nashville, a see-through roof, and a community area of 12,000 square feet that can be utilized throughout the year.

CMA Fest, originally known as Fan Fair and starting in 1972, is considered the ultimate experience for country music fans. The event has grown significantly from its humble beginnings with 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium, now attracting tens of thousands of guests from around the world to Music City. Over 250 acts perform on nine stages during this annual event.

The CMA Fest 2024 will take place in downtown Nashville from June 6 to June 9.
