6 Haunting Last Performances: Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Daryle Singletary + More

George Jones was aware that his last concert was approaching. On the other hand, Daryle Singletary was unaware, which added an eerie quality to the song he decided to close the night with.

Following Merle Haggard's passing, there was a popular story that circulated about Toby Keith assisting him in exiting the stage gracefully. However, this story turned out to be false. Keith was not present at Haggard's last performance, nor was the individual who spread the misinformation.

In reality, actor W. Earl Brown was not present at the event where Keith assisted Haggard. He only learned about it afterwards.
