The upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans means that CMA Fest will undergo significant changes in the coming years. The traditional format of the festival may not be the same in the future due to this development.
The main performances of the festival have been held at Nissan Stadium for many years, but they will be relocated to a new venue once construction is finished.
The Country Music Association has expressed their intention to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans every year during CMA Fest. They are excited to host country music fans in Nashville for the nightly concerts at the new stadium.
A new stadium, called the New Nissan Stadium, will be constructed on the East Bank of the Cumberland River, next to the existing Nissan Stadium. Building will start this year and the stadium is expected to open in 2027.
Fans of country music can still reach the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The new stadium for the Titans will be enclosed and focused on providing fans with an exceptional experience, featuring panoramic views of Nashville, a see-through roof, and a large community space available for use throughout the year.
CMA Fest is a popular event for country music fans that originally started in 1972 as Fan Fair. It began with 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium and has since grown into a large annual event for country music lovers. Every year, thousands of guests from around the world come to Music City to watch over 250 performances on nine stages.
