The Future of CMA Fest: What to Expect as the Festival Moves to the New Nissan Stadium

  • by

In the near future, CMA Fest will undergo changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans. This will result in a different look and atmosphere for the festival.

The main performances of the festival have taken place at Nissan Stadium for many years, but they will be relocated to the new venue once it is finished.

The Country Music Association is planning to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans annually during CMA Fest and is excited to host country music fans in Nashville for the evening concerts at the new stadium.

A new stadium, called the New Nissan Stadium, will be constructed on the East Bank of the Cumberland River, located to the east of the current Nissan Stadium. The building process will start this year, and it is expected to be completed and open in 2027.

Fans of country music can still reach the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by walking across the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.

The new stadium for the Titans will be enclosed and focused on providing an enhanced fan experience, featuring panoramic views of Nashville, a see-through roof, and 12,000 square feet of community space that can be utilized throughout the year.

CMA Fest is a popular event for country music fans that started in 1972 as Fan Fair. It began with 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium and has now grown into one of the largest annual events in country music. Every year, thousands of guests from around the world come to Music City to see over 250 acts performing on nine stages.

The CMA Fest 2024 will take place from June 6-9 in the heart of Nashville.
