In the near future, CMA Fest will undergo changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans. This means that the traditional format of the festival may not be the same in the coming years.
The festival's main shows have been held at Nissan Stadium for a few years, but they will be moving to a new venue once construction is finished.
The Country Music Association has confirmed that they will continue collaborating with the Tennessee Titans during the CMA Fest each year. They are excited to host country music fans for the nightly concerts at the new stadium in Nashville.
A new stadium, appropriately called the New Nissan Stadium, will be constructed on the East Bank of the Cumberland River, located east of the current Nissan Stadium. The construction is expected to start this year, and the stadium is planned to open in 2027.
Fans of country music can still get to the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The new stadium for the Titans will be enclosed and designed to provide fans with an enhanced experience. It will have large windows offering views of Nashville, a see-through roof, and a community space of 12,000 square feet that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest, formerly known as Fan Fair, is a major event for country music fans that started in 1972 with 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium. It has grown into one of the largest annual events in country music, attracting tens of thousands of guests from around the world who come to Music City to see over 250 acts on nine stages.
The CMA Fest 2024 will take place from June 6-9 in the heart of Nashville.
