Here are 6 memorable last concerts by artists like Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, and Daryle Singletary. George Jones was aware that his last concert was approaching, while Daryle Singletary was not. However, the song he chose to close the night was haunting.
Following the passing of Merle Haggard, a story circulated claiming that Toby Keith assisted him in exiting the stage with dignity during his last performance. However, this story turned out to be false as Keith was not present at Haggard's final show, and the person who spread the misinformation was also not in attendance.
In reality, the actor W. Earl Brown was not present at the event where Keith assisted Haggard. He only found out about it afterwards.

Taste of Country found a review of what seems to be Haggard's last concert and found a special moment that deserves as much recognition as the Toby Keith hero story. This is one of six memories from his final concert that are discussed in the video and shown in the pictures below.
The video includes John Denver's final performance, Johnny Cash's last song, and Waylon Jennings' made-for-TV farewell performance.
We really enjoy the Singletary performance. If you know the song "Old Violin" by Johnny Paycheck, you'll recognize where he took inspiration from. If you're not familiar with the song, make sure to continue watching.
