Chris Young Opens Up to Fans After Arrest and Dropped Charges: “The Bright Spot Was Seeing All the Love

Chris Young addresses his fans for the first time since his arrest and the subsequent dropping of charges. He mentions that he is still trying to come to terms with the events of the past week, which involved his arrest on assault charges.

The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" expressed gratitude on social media to friends and fans who supported him after he was in jail on the night of Jan. 22.

Young expressed in the video how much it meant to him to have friends and fans show their support and belief in him, stating that they reassured him by saying "we got you, we don't think you did any of this."

"It's a relief to see the charges being dropped. I wouldn't want anyone to experience what I went through. The positive aspect was receiving an overwhelming amount of love and support."

The event occurred at the Dawg House located in the heart of Nashville's downtown area.

In the security camera footage, Young appears calm before trying to get the attention of a Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission agent by raising his arm in front of him. The agent pushes Young, causing him to stumble back into the bar and fall down.

"I'm still trying to understand and deal with the false accusations and events that occurred in the past week," Young mentions at the beginning of the video. Towards the end, he shares that the encouragement from his fans motivated him to release a new song from his upcoming album earlier than planned.

The album "Double Down" will be released on Friday, February 2nd, at midnight.

"Turn up the volume and have a good time. I value you, I care for you, and I'm grateful," Young expresses.
