Chris Young recently spoke to his fans for the first time since his arrest and subsequent dropped charges. He mentioned that he is still trying to come to terms with the events of the past week, which involved his arrest on assault charges.
After spending a night in jail on January 22nd, the singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" expressed gratitude on social media towards friends and fans who supported him.
Update: Chris Young has been acquitted of all charges following his arrest at a bar in Nashville.
Young expressed how much it meant to him to have many friends and fans show their support and belief in his innocence during the video.
"It's a relief to see the charges being dropped. I wouldn't want anyone to experience what I went through. The positive aspect was the overwhelming love and support I received."
The event occurred at a bar called the Dawg House located in the city center of Nashville.
Footage from a security camera captures Young behaving calmly before he tries to grab the attention of a Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission agent by reaching out his arm. The agent responds by pushing Young, causing him to fall backwards into the bar and lose his balance.
"I'm still trying to make sense of all the untrue accusations and events that occurred in the past week," Young mentions at the beginning of the video. Towards the end, he shares that the encouragement from his fans motivated him to release a new song from his upcoming album ahead of schedule.
The movie "Double Down" will be released on Friday, February 2nd, at midnight.
"Turn up the volume and have a good time. I am grateful for you, I care about you, and I want to thank you," Young expresses.
