The upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans will bring changes to CMA Fest in the near future, leading to a different look for the event.
The main shows of the festival have been held at Nissan Stadium for many years, but they will be moved to a new venue once it is finished.
The Country Music Association has expressed their intention to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans annually during CMA Fest. They are excited to host country music fans in Nashville for the evening concerts at the new stadium.
A new stadium, called the New Nissan Stadium, will be constructed on the East Bank of the Cumberland River, positioned to the east of the current Nissan Stadium. Construction is planned to start this year, and the stadium is expected to open in 2027.
Fans of country music can still get to the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The new stadium for the Titans will be different from their current one as it will be an enclosed facility designed to provide fans with a better experience. It will have large windows offering panoramic views of Nashville, a see-through roof, and a community area of 12,000 square feet that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest is a popular event known as the ultimate experience for country music fans. It originated in 1972 as Fan Fair and has grown significantly since then. Starting with just 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium, it has now become one of the largest annual events in country music. Thousands of guests from around the world come to Music City each year to enjoy over 250 performances on nine stages.
The CMA Fest 2024 will take place from June 6-9 in the heart of Nashville.
