Country music star Reba McEntire ended up in last place in a chili cookoff that was judged by actor Rex Linn. Despite being a cute couple, Reba and Rex didn't go easy on each other during the competition.
McEntire recently took part in a Hillbilly Chili Cookoff, where Linn served as one of the judges. Despite their personal connection, McEntire did not receive any preferential treatment during the judging.
McEntire actually finished in last place. As a result, she was awarded a humorous trophy of a chili pepper going down a toilet.
McEntire, always being a good sport, posted a video on social media of her participation in a cookoff where she didn't win, showing her gracefully accepting coming in last place.

In a recent online appearance on CBS Mornings, McEntire discussed her unsuccessful chili cookoff experience and acknowledged that she has a good understanding of what went awry.
She realized that she forgot to add any spices to the dish she was making, but she added chili powder and hatch green chilis thinking it would still turn out well. She was following a recipe from Texas and was looking forward to how it would turn out.
Even though Linn's girlfriend status didn't improve her ranking, McEntire believes that it may have lessened the impact of the judges' decision when they announced her last place finish.
"Rex, who was one of the judges, approached me and quietly revealed the news. He expressed his apologies and when I asked if he would tell me who won, he simply said that it was not me."
"Then he gave me the trophy, which turned out to be a chili pepper in the toilet. So I ended up throwing it away," McEntire explained.
Setting jokes aside, McEntire discussed her connection with Linn and the reasons behind its success. The pair have been acquainted for a long time, first meeting in 1991 during the filming of The Gambler Returns alongside Kenny Rogers. However, their romantic relationship didn't begin until they reconnected in 2020. During the time between their meetings, McEntire was married to her husband Narvel Blackstock, with whom she has a son named Shelby.
During a conversation with Rex, Reba McEntire reflected on why they didn't start their relationship sooner. Rex mentioned that one reason could be that she was previously married. McEntire describes Rex as a fun and energetic person, while she feels like she has become more mellow over time. She believes that they have met each other at the perfect time in their lives.
Following that, McEntire will be going to Las Vegas to perform the National Anthem at the Super Bowl. Additionally, she is working on a new sitcom that will bring her back together with some of the crew from her popular TV show, Reba.
