Bryan and Pardi decided to include their families in the music video for "Cowboys and Plowboys" because the song reflects their personal backgrounds. Pardi, who is from the West Coast, portrays the cowboy while Bryan, whose family are peanut farmers, takes on the role of the plowboy.
Pardi expressed that he and Luke both felt that the song was perfect for them to perform together. The song revolves around cowboys and farmers.
Both singers have a history of including their family members in their music videos. Bryan featured his wife and mother in the music video for his 2020 song "One Margarita," which had a beach theme. On the other hand, Pardi included his Australian Cattle Dog, Cowboy, in the music video for his 2021 song "Tequila Little Time."
The song "Cowboys and Plowboys" is the latest release from Pardi, following his previous album "Mr. Saturday Night" in 2022. Apart from a Christmas album released last year, this is his first new music. Last February, Pardi and his wife Summer had their first child named Presley, and they have now revealed that they are expecting their second child, another girl, in July.
