Country music couple Reba McEntire and Rex Linn participated in a chili cookoff, where Reba ended up in last place. Despite their adorable relationship, they didn't go easy on each other during the competition.
McEntire recently took part in a Hillbilly Chili Cookoff where Linn served as a judge. Despite their personal relationship, McEntire did not receive any special treatment during the judging.
McEntire actually finished in last place in the competition. As a result, she received a humorous trophy as a prize: a chili pepper being flushed down a toilet.
Always one to keep a positive attitude, McEntire posted a video on her social media showing her unsuccessful attempt at a cooking competition, and even included a clip of her graciously acknowledging her last place finish.

In a recent appearance on CBS Mornings, Reba McEntire talked about her unsuccessful experience at a chili cookoff and acknowledged that she has a good understanding of what caused it to go wrong.
She forgot to add spices to the dish, but tried to compensate by adding chili powder and hatch green chilis, thinking it would still turn out well. She was following a Texas recipe and was really looking forward to how it would turn out.
Even though Linn's relationship with McEntire did not improve her ranking, McEntire believes that being her girlfriend may have softened the blow when she received the news from the judges.
During the competition, Rex, one of the judges, approached me and quietly shared the news that I did not win. He expressed his regret and I asked him directly if he would reveal the winner, to which he confirmed it was not me.
"Then he gave me the award, which turned out to be a chili pepper placed in the toilet. So, I shared my funny experience," McEntire elaborates.
Setting humor aside, McEntire also discussed her connection with Linn and what makes it successful. They have been acquainted for a long time, meeting in 1991 during the filming of The Gambler Returns. However, it wasn't until they reconnected in 2020 that their relationship blossomed. During this time, McEntire was married to her husband Narvel Blackstock, with whom she has a son named Shelby.
During a conversation with Rex, Reba McEntire expressed her wonder as to why they didn't start their relationship earlier. Rex mentioned that one reason could be because she was previously married. McEntire describes Rex as energetic and fun, while she feels she has become more mellow. She believes they have met at the perfect time in their lives.
After that, McEntire will be going to Las Vegas to perform the National Anthem at the Super Bowl. She is also working on a new sitcom with some of the people who helped create her popular TV show, Reba.
