Super Bowl 58 is shaping up to have the priciest tickets ever. If you plan on attending this year's game, you'll need to be prepared to spend a lot of money.
As of Thursday, the lowest priced individual ticket available was $8,000 on the ticket resale website TickPick. This ticket would provide you with a seat in the upper 300 section, although the website does mention that the ticket guarantees you a seat.
If the current prices remain stable, this Super Bowl ticket could become the most costly one ever sold. The most expensive ticket so far was for the 2020 Super Bowl, with an average purchase price of $6,370. One of the main reasons for the high price that year was the presence of the home team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, playing in the game. However, this year, the home team is not participating.
The upcoming Super Bowl will be held in Las Vegas for the first time ever, and experts believe that this is causing ticket prices to increase. Fans are excited to spend a weekend in Sin City and attend the most significant sporting event globally.
In case you were curious, the average price of a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was $12.
The proximity to the stadium is an important factor for 49er fans when deciding to purchase tickets. According to StubHub, 26% of ticket sales come from California, indicating that fans from there are more likely to attend games. In contrast, only 7% of ticket sales on the site come from Kansas and Missouri combined.
And we must also consider the influence of Taylor Swift! Her presence at the event may attract a larger number of female fans than usual.
Regardless of how you enter, Allegiant Stadium's 65,000 seats will be filled to capacity. Super Bowl 58 is scheduled to start on Sunday, February 11, at 6:30PM ET.
