  • by

Chris Young has addressed his fans for the first time since his arrest and subsequent dropping of charges. He mentioned that he is still trying to come to terms with the past week, which involved him being arrested on assault charges.

The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" went on social media to express gratitude to friends and fans who supported him after he was arrested on the night of Jan. 22.

In a recent development, Chris Young has been acquitted of all charges following his arrest at a bar

Young expresses in the video how much it meant to him to have friends and fans support him and believe in his innocence.

"It is a relief to see the charges being dropped. I wouldn't want anyone to have to experience something like that. However, the positive aspect was witnessing the outpouring of love and support."

The event occurred at a restaurant called the Dawg House located in the downtown area of Nashville.

The security camera footage captures Young appearing composed as he tries to signal a Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission agent by extending his arm. The agent then shoves Young, causing him to trip and fall inside the bar.

Young mentions in the beginning of the video that he is still dealing with the false accusations and events of the past week. Towards the end, he credits his fans for motivating him to release a new song from his upcoming album earlier than planned.

The album "Double Down" will be released on Friday, February 2nd, at midnight.

"Turn up the volume, have a good time. I am grateful for you, I care about you, and I want to express my thanks," Young expresses.
