Chris Young recently addressed his fans for the first time since being arrested and having the charges against him dropped. He mentioned that he is still trying to come to terms with the previous week, which was filled with controversy surrounding his arrest on assault charges.
The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" went on social media to express gratitude towards friends and fans who supported him after he was detained on the night of January 22nd.
Update: Chris Young has been declared innocent of all allegations following his arrest at a bar in Nashville
In the video, Young expresses how much it meant to him to have friends and fans support him and believe in his innocence.
"It's a relief to see the charges dropped. I wouldn't want anyone to experience what I went through. The positive aspect was feeling the love and support from others."
The event occurred at a bar called Dawg House located in the city center of Nashville.
The security camera footage captures Young appearing composed as he tries to grab the attention of a Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission agent by gesturing towards him. The agent then pushes Young, causing him to trip backwards into the bar and fall down.
Young expresses that he is still trying to make sense of the false accusations and events that occurred in the past week. He mentions in the video that the support from his fans motivated him to release a new song from his upcoming album earlier than planned.
The new album "Double Down" will be released this Friday at midnight.
"Turn up the volume, savor the moment. I am grateful for you, I care for you, and I appreciate you," Young expresses.
