Chris Young has spoken to his fans for the first time since his arrest and subsequent dropped charges. He mentioned that he is still trying to make sense of a tumultuous week that involved accusations of assault.
The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" expressed gratitude on social media for friends and fans who supported him after he was in jail on the night of Jan. 22.

Young expressed how much it meant to them to have friends and fans show support and believe in their innocence regarding the situation.
"It's a relief to see the charges dropped. No one should have to experience something like that. The best part was feeling the overwhelming love and support from others."
The situation occurred at the Dawg House located in the heart of Nashville.
Footage from a security camera captures Young appearing calm before he tries to grab the attention of a Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission agent by reaching out his arm. The agent then pushes Young, causing him to stumble backwards into the bar and fall down.
Young explains in the video that he is still trying to come to terms with the false accusations and events of the past week. Despite this, he shares that the encouragement and support from his fans motivated him to release a new song from his upcoming album ahead of schedule.
The album "Double Down" is scheduled to be released on Friday, February 2nd, at midnight.
