Country music star Reba McEntire came in last place in a chili cookoff judged by actor Rex Linn. Despite being a cute couple, Reba and Rex do not show any mercy in cooking competitions.
McEntire recently took part in a Hillbilly Chili Cookoff, where Linn served as one of the judges. Despite their personal connection, McEntire did not receive any special treatment during the judging.
Surprisingly, McEntire finished in last place. As a consolation prize, she received a trophy depicting a chili pepper being flushed down a toilet.
Always gracious, McEntire posted a video on her social media showing her participation in a cookoff where she didn't win, and even shared a picture of herself gracefully acknowledging her last place finish.

In a recent appearance on CBS Mornings, McEntire discussed her unsuccessful attempt at a chili cookoff and acknowledged that she has a good understanding of what went awry.
"I realized that I forgot to add the spices," she confessed. "I added chili powder and hatch green chilis, thinking it would be enough to make the dish flavorful. It was a recipe from Texas that I was really looking forward to trying."
Despite being Linn's girlfriend, it did not prevent her from finishing in last place. However, McEntire believes that her relationship with Linn may have helped soften the disappointment when the judges announced the results.
"Rex, one of the judges, approached me and quietly revealed the news. He expressed his regret and informed me that I did not win."
McEntire explained that when he received the trophy, it turned out to be a chili pepper placed in the toilet. As a result, he felt like his achievement was not as significant.
Aside from humor, McEntire also discussed her connection with Linn and the reasons behind its success. They have been acquainted for a long time, meeting in 1991 during the filming of The Gambler Returns movie with Kenny Rogers, but their romantic relationship didn't start until they reconnected in 2020. During this time, McEntire was married to her husband Narvel Blackstock, with whom she has a son named Shelby.
During a conversation with Rex, McEntire questioned why they hadn't connected sooner. Rex pointed out that McEntire had been married previously. McEntire describes Rex as fun and energetic, while she has become more relaxed. They both feel that they have come together at the perfect moment.
Following this, McEntire will be traveling to Las Vegas to perform the National Anthem at the Super Bowl. Additionally, she is working on a new comedy series that will bring her back together with some of the people who worked on her popular show, Reba.
