Super Bowl 58 is expected to have the highest ticket prices ever seen in the game's history. Those looking to attend the event should be prepared to spend a significant amount of money, as it is shaping up to be the most expensive Super Bowl to date.
As of Thursday, the lowest priced single ticket available was $8,000 on the ticket resale website TickPick. This ticket would give you a seat in the upper 300 section, with the site confirming that your seat is guaranteed at that price.
If the prices stay the same, this Super Bowl ticket will be considered the most costly in history. The previous record holder was the 2020 Super Bowl, where the average ticket price was $6,370. The high price that year was largely due to the home team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, playing in the game. However, this year is different as the home team is not participating.
The upcoming Super Bowl will be taking place in Las Vegas for the first time ever. Experts who specialize in ticket sales believe that this unique location is a major factor in the rising prices, as fans are excited about the opportunity to enjoy a weekend in Sin City and top it off with the iconic sporting event.
In case you were curious, the average price of a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was $12.
The proximity to the stadium is a major attraction for 49er fans when buying tickets. According to StubHub, 26 percent of ticket sales are from California, as fans find it easier to make the shorter journey to see their team play. In comparison, Kansas and Missouri account for only 7 percent of ticket sales on the site.
And don't overlook the influence of Taylor Swift! Her presence at the event could attract a larger female audience than usual.
Regardless of how you enter, Allegiant Stadium, with a capacity of 65,000 seats, will be full to its highest point. Super Bowl 58 is scheduled to start on Sunday, February 11, at 6:30PM ET.
