Chris Young recently addressed his fans for the first time since his arrest and the subsequent dropped charges. Young mentioned that he is still trying to come to terms with a tumultuous week that involved being taken into custody on assault allegations.
The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" went on social media to express gratitude towards friends and fans who supported him after he was in jail on the night of January 22.
Update: Chris Young has been found innocent of all charges following his arrest at a bar in Nashville
Young expressed in the video how much it meant to him to have friends and fans support him and believe in his innocence.
"It is a relief to see the charges being dropped. I wouldn't want anyone to experience what I went through. The positive aspect was witnessing the overwhelming love and support from others."
The event occurred at a bar called the Dawg House located in the downtown area of Nashville.
In the security camera footage, Young appears to be calm before he tries to get the attention of a Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission agent by reaching out his arm. The agent then pushes Young, causing him to stumble and fall backwards into the bar.
Young expresses that he is still trying to make sense of the false accusations and events that occurred in the past week. He mentions in the video that the support from his fans motivated him to release a new song from his upcoming album ahead of schedule.
The new song "Double Down" will be released on Friday, February 2nd at midnight.
"Turn up the volume, savor the moment. I am grateful for you, I care for you, and I am thankful," Young expresses.
