Chris Young has finally addressed his fans for the first time since his recent arrest and the subsequent dropping of charges. He mentioned that he is still trying to come to terms with a tumultuous week that involved being charged with assault.
The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" expressed gratitude on social media to his friends and fans who supported him after he was in jail on the night of Jan. 22.
Chris Young has been found not guilty of all charges following his arrest at a bar in Nashville.
Young expressed in the video that the support from friends and fans meant a lot to them, with many reaching out to show their belief in their innocence.
"It's a relief to see the charges dropped. No one should have to experience that. The positive aspect was the overwhelming love and support shown."
The event occurred at the Dawg House located in the central part of Nashville.
Footage from a security camera captures Young appearing composed as he tries to grab the attention of a Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission agent by reaching out his arm. The agent responds by pushing Young, causing him to lose his balance, fall back into the bar, and collapse.
"I'm still trying to come to terms with the false accusations and everything that happened in the past week," Young mentions at the beginning of the video. Towards the end, he shares that the encouragement from his fans motivated him to release a new song from his upcoming album ahead of schedule.
The new album "Double Down" will be released this Friday, February 2nd, at midnight.
"Turn up the volume and have a great time. I am grateful for you, I care about you, and I appreciate your support," Young expresses.
