Super Bowl 58: The Most Expensive Ticket in History

  • by

Super Bowl 58 is on track to have the priciest tickets ever. To attend this year's game, you'll need to have a lot of money. It is expected to be the most costly Super Bowl in the event's history.

By Thursday, the lowest-priced single ticket available on the ticket resale website TickPick was $8,000. This ticket would provide you with a seat in the upper 300 section, although the website does specify that the seat is guaranteed.

If the prices remain steady, this Super Bowl ticket could become the most costly one ever. The previous record holder for the highest-priced ticket was the 2020 Super Bowl, where the average ticket price was $6,370. One of the reasons for the high price that year was because the home team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was competing in the game. However, that is not the case for this year's Super Bowl.

The upcoming Super Bowl will be the first one taking place in Las Vegas, and experts believe this unique location is causing ticket prices to rise. Fans are excited to have the opportunity to enjoy a weekend in Sin City and attend the most prestigious sporting event in the world.

In case you were curious, the average price for a ticket to the first Super Bowl was $12.

The proximity to the stadium is a significant factor for fans of the 49ers, as shown by StubHub data indicating that 26 percent of ticket sales come from California. Fans from closer locations are more likely to attend games to support their favorite team. In contrast, only 7 percent of ticket sales on StubHub come from Kansas and Missouri combined.

Let's also consider the influence of Taylor Swift! Her presence at the event may attract more female fans than usual.

Regardless of how you enter, the 65,000 seat Allegiant Stadium will be filled to capacity. Super Bowl 58 is scheduled to start on Sunday, February 11, at 6:30PM ET.
