The music video for the new duet "Cowboys and Plowboys" by Luke Bryan and Jon Pardi features some special guest stars who steal the spotlight. The video showcases both artists as co-stars, but also includes a few familiar faces.
Both singers had their significant others appear in their music videos. Bryan and his wife, Caroline Boyer, are seen embracing in a field and watching the sunset. Pardi is shown dancing with his wife, Summer, on a dance floor, and also holding his nearly one-year-old daughter, Presley, as they ride horses together.
Bryan and Pardi decided to include their families in the music video for "Cowboys and Plowboys" because the song is based on their personal backgrounds. Pardi, who is from the West Coast, portrays the cowboy, while Bryan, who comes from a family of peanut farmers, plays the plowboy.
Pardi explained to Taste of Country Nights that both he and Luke felt that the song was meant for them to perform together. The song is about cowboys and farmers.
Both singers have experience involving family members in their music videos. Bryan featured his wife and mother in the video for his 2020 song "One Margarita," which was set on the beach. On the other hand, Pardi included his Australian Cattle Dog, Cowboy, in the music video for his 2021 song "Tequila Little Time."
Pardi's latest release, "Cowboys and Plowboys," marks his return to new music after his Mr. Saturday Night album released in 2022. Excluding a Christmas album released last fall, this is his first new music. Pardi and his wife Summer became parents to baby Presley in February and have announced they are expecting their second child, a girl, in July.
