Jennifer Nettles, the host of a show on Fox, acknowledges that this season, the female contestants are displaying more emotion, energy, and reaction, which may result in some tense moments on the farm.
The second season of Farmer Wants a Wife will showcase four farmers residing in different parts of the United States, as they search for their soulmates.
However, the unique aspect is that each farmer will choose five women from a group of 29 to come and reside with them on their farm. This experience will provide the women with a comprehensive understanding of the responsibilities and lifestyle of being a farmer's wife.
Introducing the farmers on the second season of Farmer Wants a Wife:
Ty Ferrell, aged 42, identifies more as a cowboy than a farmer due to his role as a team roper. He manages a 50-acre farm in Sikeston, Missouri, where he raises horses and cattle. Ty has a deep passion for roping and riding, which he has been involved in since he was a young boy. As one of the older farmers featured on the show, Ty is a divorced father with a 12-year-old daughter. He is searching for a partner who can not only be his companion but also a nurturing mother figure for his child.
Mitchell Kolinsky, a 27-year-old farmer in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, is the first in his family to pursue farming. His large property is home to various wildlife and includes a historic cabin from the 19th century, where he resides with his three dogs. Kolinsky's upbringing around horses and love for the outdoors inspired him to pursue a career in farming, and he now owns a farm with both horses and cattle.
Brandon Rogers, who is 29 years old, runs a large farm in Center, Colorado that grows potatoes and barley on 1,000 acres of land. The town where he resides is very small, with only one traffic light, and is surrounded by farmland. He comes from a family of farmers, as his father also worked on the farm when Brandon was a child. Brandon is now carrying on the family tradition by managing the farm and hopes to uphold the legacy that his father started.
At just 23 years old, Nathan Smothers comes from a long line of farmers and is a fourth-generation citrus and cattle farmer in Bartow, Florida. His vast property includes 300 acres of farmland and over 500 acres for his cattle. Despite his young age, Smothers has shown great responsibility and maturity since losing his father at 12 years old, taking on the role of caring for his mother and three sisters.
The second season of Farmer Wants a Wife will debut on Thursday, February 1st at 9PM Eastern Time on the Fox network.
