Super Bowl 58: The Most Expensive Ticket in History

  • by

Super Bowl 58 is expected to have the highest priced tickets ever. Only those willing to spend big money will be able to attend this year's game.

On Thursday, the lowest-priced single ticket available on the ticket resale website TickPick was $8,000. This ticket would provide a seat in the upper 300 section, with the assurance that a seat is guaranteed.

If the prices remain at this level, this year's Super Bowl ticket will be the most costly one ever. The previous record holder was the 2020 Super Bowl, with an average ticket price of $6,370. The high price that year was largely due to the home team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, competing in the game. However, that is not the situation for this year's Super Bowl.

The upcoming Super Bowl will be the inaugural one held in Las Vegas. According to ticket experts, this unique location is causing ticket prices to rise as fans are eager to enjoy a weekend in Sin City and top it off with the world's most significant sporting event.

In case you were curious, the price of a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was around $12.

The location plays a significant role in attracting 49er fans, as data from StubHub reveals that 26 percent of ticket purchases come from California. Fans from California find it easier to travel to see their team play. On the other hand, only 7 percent of ticket sales on StubHub come from Kansas and Missouri combined.

It is important to consider the influence of Taylor Swift. Her presence at the event could attract a larger number of female fans.

Regardless of how you enter, Allegiant Stadium, with a seating capacity of 65,000, will be filled to capacity. The kickoff for Super Bowl 58 is scheduled for Sunday, February 11 at 6:30PM Eastern Time.
