Super Bowl 58: The Most Expensive Ticket in History – What’s Driving the High Prices and Who’s Buying

  • by

Super Bowl 58 is expected to have the highest ticket prices ever. If you plan on attending this year's game, be prepared to spend a significant amount of money as it is shaping up to be the most costly Super Bowl yet.

As of Thursday, the lowest priced single ticket available on the ticket resale site TickPick was $8,000. This ticket would grant you a seat in the upper 300 section, although the site does mention that the purchase of a seat is guaranteed.

If the prices stay the same, this Super Bowl ticket will be considered the most costly one ever. The most expensive Super Bowl ticket so far was for the 2020 game, with an average price of $6,370 per ticket. One of the reasons for the high price that year was that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the home team, were playing in the game. However, that is not the case this year.

The upcoming Super Bowl will be the first one ever held in Las Vegas, which is causing ticket prices to increase as fans are eager to enjoy a weekend in Sin City and attend the biggest sporting event globally.

Just in case you were curious, the average price of a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was $12.

The proximity to the stadium is a significant factor that influences 49er fans' ticket purchasing decisions. According to StubHub, 26 percent of ticket sales come from California, indicating that fans from the state prefer to attend games in person. In contrast, only 7 percent of ticket sales on the website come from Kansas and Missouri combined.

Also, it's important to consider the influence of Taylor Swift! Her presence at the event could attract a larger number of female fans than usual.

Regardless of how you gain entry, Allegiant Stadium's 65,000 seats will be filled to capacity. Super Bowl 58 is scheduled to begin on Sunday, February 11, at 6:30PM ET.
