Chris Young recently spoke to his fans for the first time since his arrest and subsequent dropping of charges. He mentioned that he is still trying to make sense of everything that has happened over the past week, which involved allegations of assault.
The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" expressed gratitude on social media towards friends and fans who supported him after he was in jail on the night of Jan. 22.
Chris Young has been absolved of any wrongdoing after being arrested at a bar in Nashville.
Young expressed gratitude for the support he received from friends and fans who reached out to him, reassuring him that they believed in his innocence.
"It's a relief to see the charges being dropped. I wouldn't want anyone to experience what I went through. However, I am grateful for the love and support I received during this difficult time."
The event occurred at a bar called the Dawg House in the downtown area of Nashville.
Footage from a security camera captures Young appearing composed as he tries to get the attention of a Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission agent by gesturing with his arm. The agent responds by pushing Young, causing him to lose his balance and fall backwards into the bar.
Young expresses that he is still trying to comprehend the false accusations and events that occurred in the previous week. He mentions in the video that the support from his fans motivated him to release a new song from his upcoming album earlier than planned.
The new album "Double Down" will be released on Friday, February 2nd at midnight.
"Turn up the volume and have a great time. I am grateful for you, I care about you, and I appreciate you," Young expresses.
