Get to know the farmers featured on the second season of Farmer Wants a Wife:
Ty Ferrell, aged 42, prefers to identify as a cowboy rather than a farmer, as he is a team roper. He runs a 50-acre farm in Sikeston, Missouri, where he raises horses and cattle. Ferrell has been passionate about roping and riding since he was a young child. As one of the older farmers on the show, he is a divorced father with a 12-year-old daughter. He is searching for a partner who can not only be a companion to him but also a caring mother figure to his child.
Mitchell Kolinsky, a 27-year-old farmer in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, is the first in his family to pursue farming. His property is spacious and filled with various types of wildlife, as well as a historic cabin from the 19th century where he resides with his three dogs. Kolinsky's childhood involved horses and outdoor activities, inspiring him to establish a career in farming. He currently runs his own farm, raising horses and cattle.
Brandon Rogers, who is 29 years old, manages a farm spanning 1,000 acres that grows potatoes and barley in Center, Colorado. The town where he resides is small and only has one stoplight, with farmland surrounding it. Being a second-generation farmer, Rogers grew up helping his father on the farm. He is committed to carrying on the family business and maintaining the legacy established by his father.
At just 23 years old, Nathan Smothers comes from a long line of farmers and is a fourth generation citrus and cattle farmer in Bartow, Florida. His property is extensive, with 300 acres of farmland and over 500 acres dedicated to cattle. Despite his young age, Smothers has had to mature quickly after losing his father at 12 and taking on responsibilities to care for his mother and three sisters.
Season 2 of the show Farmer Wants a Wife will debut on Fox on Thursday, February 1st at 9PM Eastern Time.
