Reba McEntire finished in last place in a chili cookoff judged by Rex Linn. Despite being a cute couple in country music, they don't go easy on each other in cooking competitions.
McEntire recently competed in a Hillbilly Chili Cookoff, with Linn serving as one of the judges. Despite their personal relationship, McEntire did not receive any special treatment during the judging.
McEntire actually ended up in last place in the competition. As a result, she was given a humorous trophy as a consolation prize: a chili pepper being flushed down a toilet.
Always one to keep a positive attitude, McEntire posted a video on her social media showing her participation in a cooking competition where she did not win. The video included a moment where she gracefully accepted coming in last place.

In a recent appearance on CBS Mornings, Reba McEntire talked about her unsuccessful experience at a chili cookoff and shared that she has a good understanding of what went awry.
She forgot to add any spices to the dish, but tried to make up for it by adding chili powder and hatch green chilis, thinking it would be enough. She was following a recipe from Texas and was really excited about it.
Despite being in a relationship with Linn, she still ended up in last place. McEntire believes that her girlfriend status may have slightly cushioned the blow when the judges announced the results.
"Rex, who was a judge, approached me and quietly told me the news. He expressed his apologies and revealed that I was not the winner of the competition."
"Then he gave me the trophy, which was a chili pepper placed in the toilet. So, I added mine to the collection," McEntire explained.
Putting jokes aside, McEntire discussed her connection with Linn and the reasons behind its success. The two have been acquainted for a long time, meeting back in 1991 during the filming of The Gambler Returns starring Kenny Rogers. However, their romantic relationship didn't begin until they reconnected in 2020. Prior to this, McEntire was married to her former husband Narvel Blackstock, with whom she has a son named Shelby.
During a conversation with Rex, Reba McEntire wondered why they hadn't started a relationship earlier. Rex pointed out that one reason could have been because she was previously married. McEntire describes Rex as fun and energetic, while she has become more mellow. She believes that they have come together at the perfect time in their lives.
Following that, McEntire will be going to Las Vegas to perform the National Anthem at the Super Bowl. Additionally, she is working on a new comedy show that will involve reuniting with some of the people who worked on her popular TV series, Reba.
