Super Bowl 58 is expected to have the highest ticket prices ever seen for the game. If you are planning to attend this year's Super Bowl, be prepared to pay a premium as it is shaping up to be the most costly Super Bowl yet.
As of Thursday, the lowest priced single ticket available was $8,000 on the ticket resale website TickPick. This ticket would provide you with a seat in the upper 300 section, however, it is important to note that the site does guarantee you a seat at that price.
If the prices remain the same, this Super Bowl ticket will be the priciest one ever. The most expensive Super Bowl ticket to date was for the 2020 game, with an average price of $6,370. The high price that year was largely due to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the home team, playing in the game. This year, however, the home team is not playing, which may contribute to the high prices.
The upcoming Super Bowl will be held in Las Vegas for the first time, and experts believe that this unique location is causing ticket prices to increase. Fans are eager to spend a weekend in Sin City and top it off with the world's biggest sporting event.
In case you were curious, the average cost of a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was $12.
The location plays a significant role in attracting 49er fans, as shown by StubHub's data indicating that 26 percent of ticket sales come from California. This suggests that fans from California are more likely to attend games due to the shorter distance. In contrast, only 7 percent of ticket sales on StubHub come from Kansas and Missouri combined.
Don't overlook the influence of Taylor Swift! Her presence at the event could attract a larger female audience than usual.
Regardless of how you enter, Allegiant Stadium with its 65,000 seats will be completely full. The highly anticipated Super Bowl 58 is scheduled to start on Sunday, February 11, at 6:30PM Eastern Time.
