The upcoming Super Bowl 58 is on track to have the highest-priced tickets in the history of the game. If you plan on attending, be prepared to spend a lot of money as this year's event is expected to be the most expensive Super Bowl yet.
As of Thursday, the least expensive single ticket available on the ticket resale website TickPick was priced at $8,000. This ticket would provide you with a seat in the upper 300 section, but it is important to note that the website does guarantee you a seat.
If the prices remain stable, this Super Bowl ticket could become the most costly one ever. The previous record holder was the 2020 Super Bowl, where the average ticket price was $6,370. The high prices that year were largely driven by the fact that the home team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, participated in the game. However, this year, the home team is not playing in the Super Bowl.
The upcoming Super Bowl will be the first to take place in Las Vegas, which has led to an increase in ticket prices. Experts believe that fans are eager to experience a weekend in Sin City followed by the largest sporting event globally.
In case you were curious, the average cost of a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was $12.
The location is a major influence for fans of the 49ers when buying tickets. According to StubHub, 26 percent of ticket sales come from California, where fans have a shorter distance to travel to watch their team play. In contrast, only 7 percent of ticket sales on the site come from Kansas and Missouri combined.
Also, we shouldn't overlook the influence of Taylor Swift. Her presence at the event may attract a larger number of female fans than usual.
Regardless of how you enter, Allegiant Stadium's 65,000 seats will be filled to capacity. Super Bowl 58 is scheduled to start on Sunday, February 11 at 6:30 PM Eastern Time.
