Chris Young is addressing his fans for the first time since his arrest and the subsequent dropping of charges. He mentioned that he is still trying to fully understand and come to terms with the events of the past week, which involved accusations of assault.
The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" used social media to express gratitude to friends and fans who supported him after he was in jail on the night of Jan. 22.
Update: Chris Young has been found innocent of all charges following his arrest at a bar in Nashville
Young expressed in the video how much it meant to them to have the support of many friends and fans who reached out to say they didn't believe the accusations against them.
"It's a relief to see the charges dropped. I wouldn't want anyone to experience what I went through. The positive aspect was feeling the love and support from others."
The event occurred at the Dawg House located in the heart of Nashville's downtown area.
In the security camera footage, Young appears to be composed before he tries to get the attention of a Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission agent by reaching out his arm. The agent responds by pushing Young, causing him to lose his balance and fall backwards into the bar.
In the video, Young mentions that he is still dealing with the false accusations and events that occurred in the past week. He also shares that the support from fans motivated him to release a new song from his upcoming album ahead of schedule.
The new album "Double Down" is set to be released on Friday, February 2nd at midnight.
"Turn up the volume and savor it. I am grateful for you, I care about you, and I want to express my thanks," Young expresses.
