The music video for the duet "Cowboys and Plowboys" by Jon Pardi and Luke Bryan features some special guest stars who make appearances alongside the two main artists. These familiar faces add an extra element of excitement to the video.
Both singers decided to include their significant others in their music videos. Bryan and his wife, Caroline Boyer, are seen embracing in a field and admiring the sunset together. In another scene, Pardi is seen twirling his wife, Summer, on a dance floor. Lastly, Pardi is shown holding his nearly one-year-old daughter, Presley, as they ride on horseback together.
Bryan and Pardi decided to include their families in the music video for "Cowboys and Plowboys" because the song is based on their own personal backgrounds. Pardi, who is from the West Coast, portrays the cowboy, while Bryan, who comes from a family of peanut farmers, takes on the role of the plowboy.
Pardi explained to Taste of Country Nights that he and Luke both felt that the song was perfect for them to sing together, as it is centered around cowboys and farmers.
Both singers have experience involving their family members in their music videos. Bryan had his wife and mother appear in the music video for his beach-themed song "One Margarita" in 2020. On the other hand, Pardi included his Australian Cattle Dog, Cowboy, in the music video for his song "Tequila Little Time" in 2021.
Pardi's latest release, "Cowboys and Plowboys," is his first new music since his Mr. Saturday Night album in 2022. Excluding a Christmas album released last fall, this is his most recent musical project. Pardi and his wife Summer had their first child, Presley, last February. They have now revealed that they are expecting their second child, another girl, due in July.
