Super Bowl 58 is expected to have the highest ticket prices ever, so only those willing to spend a lot of money will be able to attend. If you're hoping to go to this year's Super Bowl, be prepared to pay a premium.
As of Thursday, the lowest priced single ticket available was $8,000 on the ticket resale website TickPick. This ticket would provide a seat in the upper 300 section, with the website confirming that the seat is guaranteed at that price.
If the current prices remain steady, this Super Bowl ticket will be recorded as the most costly in history. The 2020 Super Bowl holds the title for the highest average ticket purchase price at $6,370. One of the reasons for the expensive tickets that year was the presence of the home team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, playing in the game. However, this year, the home team is not playing, leading to lower prices.
The upcoming Super Bowl will be the first to take place in Las Vegas, and experts believe that this is causing ticket prices to increase. Fans are eager to enjoy a weekend in Sin City and top it off with the world's largest sporting event.
In case you were curious, the average price for a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was $12.
For 49er fans, where the game is being held is an important factor when buying tickets. According to StubHub, 26% of ticket sales come from California, as 49er fans prefer traveling shorter distances to see their team play. In contrast, only 7% of ticket sales on StubHub come from Kansas and Missouri combined.
We should also consider the influence of Taylor Swift! Her presence at the event could attract a larger number of female fans than usual.
Regardless of how you enter, Allegiant Stadium with its 65,000 seats will be filled to capacity. Super Bowl 58 is scheduled to start at 6:30PM ET on Sunday, February 11.
