Super Bowl 58: The Most Expensive Ticket in History and What’s Driving the Prices Up

  • by

Super Bowl 58 is expected to have the highest ticket prices ever, making it a luxury event for high rollers. If you plan on attending this year's Super Bowl, be prepared to pay a premium for entry.

As of Thursday, the lowest-priced individual ticket available on the ticket resale website TickPick was $8,000. This ticket would provide a seat in the upper 300 section, with the website confirming that the purchase guarantees a seat.

If the prices remain steady, this Super Bowl ticket could become the most costly in history. The highest-priced Super Bowl ticket so far was for the 2020 game, with an average purchase price of $6,370. One of the main reasons for the high price that year was that the home team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, were competing in the game. However, that is not the situation for this year's game.

The upcoming Super Bowl will take place in Las Vegas for the first time ever, and experts believe this is causing ticket prices to increase. Fans are excited to have the opportunity to spend a weekend in Sin City and attend the largest sporting event in the world.

In case you were curious, the average price of a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was $12.

The proximity to the stadium is a significant influence on 49er fans when purchasing tickets. According to StubHub, 26% of ticket sales are from California, as fans prefer to make the shorter journey to support their team. In contrast, Kansas and Missouri together only account for 7% of ticket sales on the website.

Let's also remember the influence of Taylor Swift! Her presence at the event may attract a larger number of female fans than usual.

Regardless of how you enter, Allegiant Stadium, which can hold 65,000 people, will be filled to capacity. Super Bowl 58 is scheduled to start on Sunday, February 11, at 6:30 PM Eastern Time.
