The first season of "Farmer Wants a Wife" ended on Fox in May. It was very popular, with an average of 2 to 2.5 million viewers. The show was renewed for another season on Feb. 1, also on Fox, due to its success.
Since the show was successful, what happened to the couples that were featured on the show?
The farmers each began by inviting eight women to live with them in the hopes of finding love. Over time, the women were gradually eliminated until only one was chosen by each farmer. Three out of the four farmers ended their journeys with a partner, but not all of these relationships were able to last outside of the show.
After considering Khelsi Stone and Rebecca Rosell as his final choices, Allen Foster ultimately chose Khelsi at the end of his journey. Despite their strong connection and bond during the show, they have since split up.
Foster and Stone have both officially announced that they are no longer together.
Foster expresses gratitude on social media for the amazing journey and opportunities he experienced. Despite not finding a romantic connection on Farmer Wants a Wife, he values the friendships made and lasting opportunities. He feels fortunate to have been part of the experience and appreciates the kindness and support from others.
Hunter Grayson and Meghan Baker had a tumultuous season on the show, with Baker leaving temporarily due to her grandfather's passing. Despite the challenges, Grayson ultimately chose Baker over Sydney Groom in the finale, and the two ended up together. Baker's return to the show just in time played a key role in capturing Grayson's affection.
Unfortunately, the relationship between the couple did not have a lasting future as Grayson shared news of their separation in June 2023 through a post on social media.
"I regret to announce that Meghan and I have decided to part ways," he states. "We tried our hardest, but the challenges were greater than we anticipated. She prefers to live in Tennessee, while I am unable to sell my farm in order to move."
I hope she achieves all her goals and has a successful life. Our relationship will continue, as she will always be a close friend to me. I am grateful for the experiences we shared together. While I will always appreciate our time together, love cannot be based on external validation, as this farmer is looking for a life partner.
In the final decision, Landon Heaton chose Ashley Larea over Ashley Rader, making it a decisive moment in his journey.
Regrettably, the couple have broken up.
In a detailed social media post, Heaton shares that he had certain expectations before starting this experience, but was uncertain about what he would discover. He describes finding a strong and genuine bond with a wonderful individual. After the filming ended, unexpected events required him to return home to his family, and life became hectic.
In January of 2023, Ashley and I decided to part ways in order to readjust to our previous way of life.
Even though our story didn't have a fairytale ending, I hope we can always rely on each other because we have a unique bond that not many people can comprehend.
Ryan Black was faced with a tough decision in the season finale as he attempted to regain the affection of Haley Ramirez, who he had previously eliminated from the show. Despite successfully persuading her to return to the farm, he had to decide between Ramirez and Sara Vincent. In the end, he chose Ramirez, but unfortunately, she did not feel the same way.
Black ended the season without a partner.
"I had a great experience on this journey, where I learned a lot about myself, others, and the film industry," he shared on social media. "I am grateful for the opportunity and even though I ended the reality TV love journey single, I am proud of how well I handle rejection."
"Be mindful of your emotions. Stay alert and if you ever end up on a reality show.. remember that everyone is watching," he advises.
The second season of the dating show "Farmer Wants a Wife" was approved by Fox in May 2023 and is set to premiere on Thursday, February 1st at 9PM ET. This season will feature four new farmers searching for love in a rural setting.
