The tight end expressed a desire to attend the Grammys to support Taylor and see her win all the awards she's up for, but mentioned that he has practice on Sunday and may not be able to go.
The 2024 Grammy Awards will take place at 8PM ET on Sunday, February 4th and will be broadcast on CBS.
At the upcoming Grammys, Taylor Swift is nominated for Album of the Year, a category she has won three times before. If she wins again, she will be the only artist in history to have won four times. She is currently tied with Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, and Paul Simon for the most wins in this category.
The singer is nominated for Record and Song of the Year for her song "Anti Hero," which she has never won before. She has a total of six nominations at the 2024 Grammy Awards, thanks to the success of her album "Midnights" in 2022.
Expect to see her name announced as a nominee in categories such as Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
Kelce, a player for the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL, is currently at the peak of his career as he gets ready for Super Bowl 58, the most important game of the year. The Chiefs will be playing against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, February 11, just one week after the Grammys.
"Sadly, I have to start preparing for the upcoming Super Bowl that is only a week away," he says.
Swift and Kelce have been supporting each other in their careers while managing their busy schedules. Swift has been seen cheering for Kelce at his games, and Kelce has attended some of Swift's Eras Tour shows as well.
The singer is expected to be at the Super Bowl, even though she has a concert in Tokyo, Japan the day before the game. She will be able to attend thanks to her private jet and the time difference between Japan and the United States, allowing her to arrive in Las Vegas in time for the game.
