Super Bowl 58 is on track to have the highest ticket prices ever. To attend this year's game, you'll need to be willing to pay top dollar.
As of Thursday, the lowest price for a single ticket was $8,000 on the ticket resale website TickPick. This price would secure you a seat in the upper 300 section, although the website mentions that the seat is guaranteed.
If the prices remain at their current levels, this Super Bowl ticket will be recorded as the most costly one ever. The previous record holder for the most expensive ticket was the 2020 Super Bowl, where the average ticket price was $6,370. One of the main reasons for the high price that year was that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the home team, were competing. However, this year does not have the same situation.
The upcoming Super Bowl will be the first to take place in Las Vegas, and ticket experts believe this is causing prices to increase. Fans are eager to experience a weekend in Sin City and top it off with the biggest sports event in the world.
In case you were curious, the average price for a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was $12.
The location where games are held is a significant influence for fans of the 49ers. According to StubHub, a secondary ticket marketplace, 26 percent of ticket sales come from California, where many 49ers fans are able to easily travel to see their team play. In contrast, only 7 percent of ticket sales on StubHub come from Kansas and Missouri combined.
Additionally, it is important to consider the influence of Taylor Swift. Her presence at the event is expected to attract a larger number of female fans than usual.
Regardless of how you enter, the Allegiant Stadium with 65,000 seats will be completely full. Super Bowl 58 is scheduled to start on Sunday, February 11, at 6:30PM ET.
