Chris Young recently spoke to his fans for the first time since his arrest and the subsequent dropping of charges. He mentioned that he is still trying to make sense of the events of the past week, which involved his arrest on allegations of assault.
The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" went on social media to express gratitude towards friends and fans who supported him after he was in jail on the night of Jan. 22.
Chris Young has been declared innocent of all charges after being arrested at a bar in Nashville.
Young expressed in the video that it was extremely meaningful to them to have friends and fans show support and reassure them that they do not believe the accusations against them.
"It's a relief to see the charges being dropped. No one should have to experience something like this. However, the positive aspect was the overwhelming love and support shown."
The event occurred at a restaurant called the Dawg House located in the downtown area of Nashville.
Surveillance footage captures Young appearing composed before he tries to grab the attention of a Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission agent by reaching out his arm. The agent responds by pushing Young, causing him to lose his balance, fall back into the bar, and collapse.
Young expresses that he is still trying to understand and come to terms with the false accusations and events that occurred in the past week. He mentions in the video that the support from fans motivated him to release a new song from his upcoming album ahead of schedule.
The new album "Double Down" will be released on Friday, February 2nd at midnight.
"Turn up the volume and savor the moment. I am grateful for you, I care for you, and I am thankful," Young expresses.
