Chris Young recently spoke to his fans for the first time since his arrest and subsequent dropped charges. He mentioned that he is still trying to make sense of the events of the past week, which involved him being arrested on assault charges.
The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" went on social media to express gratitude to his friends and fans who supported him after he was arrested on the night of January 22nd.
Related: Chris Young has been acquitted of all charges following his arrest at a bar in Nashville.
In the video, Young expressed how much it meant to him that many friends and fans showed their support and reassured him that they did not believe he was responsible for any of the accusations.
It is a relief to see the charges being dropped. I wouldn't want anyone to experience what I went through. The positive aspect was seeing the overwhelming love and support from others.
The event occurred at a bar called the Dawg House located in the heart of Nashville.
In the security camera footage, Young appears composed as he tries to get the attention of a Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission agent by reaching out towards him. The agent responds by pushing Young, causing him to trip and fall inside the bar.
"I'm still trying to make sense of the false accusations and events that occurred in the past week," Young mentions at the beginning of the video. Towards the end, he shares that the encouragement from his fans motivated him to release a new song from his upcoming album ahead of schedule.
The album "Double Down" is set to be released on Friday, February 2nd, at midnight.
"Turn up the volume and have a good time. I value you, care for you, and am grateful," Young expresses.
