The music video for Jon Pardi and Luke Bryan's new duet "Cowboys and Plowboys" features some special guest stars alongside the two main artists. These familiar faces in the video stand out and captivate the audience.
Both singers included their significant others in their music videos. Bryan appears with his wife Caroline Boyer, whom he has been married to for 17 years, as they embrace in a field and enjoy a sunset. Pardi is also seen dancing with his wife Summer on a dance floor, and holding his nearly one-year-old daughter Presley while horseback riding in another scene.
Bryan and Pardi decided to include their families in the music video for "Cowboys and Plowboys" because the song reflects their personal backgrounds. Pardi, who is from the West Coast, portrays the cowboy, while Bryan, who comes from a family of peanut farmers, represents the plowboy.
Pardi said that both he and Luke believed that the song was perfect for them to perform together. He explained to Taste of Country Nights that the song is themed around cowboys and farmers.
Both singers have experience including their family members in their music videos. Bryan featured his wife and mother in his 2020 single "One Margarita," which had a beach theme. On the other hand, Pardi included his Australian Cattle Dog, Cowboy, in the music video for his 2021 song "Tequila Little Time."
Pardi released "Cowboys and Plowboys" as his latest music following his Mr. Saturday Night album in 2022, with the exception of a Christmas album released last year. He and his wife Summer had their first child, Presley, in February, and they have revealed that they are expecting their second child, another girl, in July.
