The band American Blonde is promoting self-worth through their latest song "Why Girl," and they are giving Taste of Country readers an exclusive first listen to it.
The song "Why Girl" was created with the intention of reaching out to girls who are constantly seeking love in the wrong places. The creators of the song believe that it is important for these girls to understand their own value and to not settle for less than they deserve. Ultimately, they hope that this song will empower girls to recognize their worth and make better choices in relationships.
The chorus sings about not letting someone make you cry and losing your happiness by living a lie. They question if you're really fine because you always seem sad and waste your time on someone who is not good for you. They wonder why you continue to do this, asking "why girl why?"
Natalia (Nata) and Christina (Tinka) Morris came together as a country duo after their previous group, Southern Halo, which also included their younger sister Hannah, disbanded. The trio, known for songs like "Little White Dress," "Anything Is Possible," "I Think Too Much," and "Don't Let Another Day Go By," had success in 2015. When Hannah left in 2020 to focus on her education, Natalia and Christina saw it as an opportunity to rebrand and show their fans their current musical direction.
