Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd have completed the legal process of ending their marriage as a judge has approved their divorce.
Based on legal papers acquired by People magazine, the two country musicians officially ended their relationship in Nashville on Tuesday (Jan. 30), shortly after coming to an agreement on how to divide their property and handle child support in early January.
The former partners have come to an agreement on how they will handle financial support for their child. As outlined in the documents submitted recently, Morris will provide $2,100 each month to Hurd, and they will both share custody of their son. They have also decided to divide their assets according to the prenuptial agreement and the settlement they have agreed upon.
Morris and Hurd have not shared many details about their breakup on social media. In a late 2023 interview on the Howard Stern Show, Morris mentioned that she was not considering dating again at the moment.
She mentioned that she wants the divorce to be finalized soon, but she is currently too preoccupied to deal with it. Instead, she is focusing on her writing. She explained that writing songs has been her way of expressing her emotions and experiences, almost like a form of dating.

In 2013, Morris and Hurd were working together as songwriters when they started a romantic relationship. They continued to collaborate and eventually got engaged in 2017, getting married the following year. Over the course of the decade, they frequently performed together on stage, often singing their popular duet "Chasing After You."
