Super Bowl 58: The Most Expensive Ticket in History and What’s Driving the Prices Up

  • by

Super Bowl 58 is expected to have the highest ticket prices ever. If you want to attend this year's Super Bowl, be prepared to pay a lot of money.

By Thursday, the lowest-priced single ticket available on the ticket resale website TickPick was $8,000. This ticket would grant you a seat in the upper 300 section, although the site does make it clear that the purchase includes a guaranteed seat.

If the prices remain the same, this year's Super Bowl ticket could be the most expensive ever. The previous record was set in 2020, with an average ticket price of $6,370. One of the reasons for the high price that year was that the home team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, were playing. However, this year the home team is not playing in the Super Bowl.

The upcoming Super Bowl will be the first to take place in Las Vegas, which experts believe is causing ticket prices to rise. Fans are eager to experience a weekend in Sin City and culminate it with the world's largest sporting event.

In case you were curious, the cost of a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was typically around $12.

The location of the game is an important factor for 49er fans when buying tickets. According to StubHub, 26 percent of ticket sales come from California, where many fans can easily travel to see their team play. In comparison, Kansas and Missouri only account for a total of 7 percent of ticket sales on the website.

Don't overlook the influence of Taylor Swift! Her presence at the event could attract a larger female audience than usual.

No matter how you enter, Allegiant Stadium will be filled with 65,000 people. Super Bowl 58 will start on Sunday, February 11, at 6:30 PM Eastern Time.
