Jon Pardi and Luke Bryan teamed up for a music video for their new song "Cowboys and Plowboys" with some surprise guest appearances. The video features familiar faces that add to the overall entertainment of the clip.
Both singers decided to include their significant others in their music videos. Bryan and his wife, Caroline Boyer, are seen embracing in a picturesque field as they enjoy a sunset together. Pardi is shown twirling his wife, Summer, on the dance floor in one scene, and in another scene, he is seen holding his young daughter, Presley, while they ride horses together.
Bryan and Pardi decided to include their families in the music video for "Cowboys and Plowboys" because the song reflects their personal backgrounds. Pardi, who hails from the West Coast, portrays the cowboy, while Bryan, whose family are peanut farmers, plays the role of the plowboy.
Pardi expressed that he and Luke both felt that the song was meant for them to sing together. He mentioned during an interview with Taste of Country Nights that the song is about cowboys and farmers.
Both singers are familiar with the practice of including their family members in their music videos. Bryan had his wife and mother appear in his 2020 music video for "One Margarita," which had a beach theme. On the other hand, Pardi featured his Australian Cattle Dog, Cowboy, in the music video for his 2021 song "Tequila Little Time."
Pardi's latest music release, "Cowboys and Plowboys," is his first since his Mr. Saturday Night album came out in 2022, excluding a Christmas album released last fall. He and his wife Summer had their first child, Presley, in February, and have now shared the news that they are expecting their second child, another girl, in July.
