Chris Young recently spoke to his fans for the first time since his arrest and the subsequent dropped charges. He mentioned that he is still trying to make sense of the past week, which involved allegations of assault against him.
The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" went on social media to express gratitude to his friends and fans who supported him after he was in jail on the night of January 22nd.
In connection with a Nashville bar arrest, Chris Young has been declared innocent of all charges.
In the video, Young expressed how much it meant to him to have friends and fans supporting him and reassuring him that they didn't believe he was responsible for any of the accusations.
"It's a relief to see the charges dropped. No one should have to experience something like that. However, what stood out was the overwhelming love and support I received."
The event occurred at the Dawg House located in the downtown area of Nashville.
Footage from a security camera captures Young appearing composed as he tries to grab the attention of a Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission agent by reaching out his arm. The agent responds by pushing Young, causing him to trip and fall backwards into the bar.
Young mentioned in the video that he is still trying to come to terms with the false accusations and events that occurred in the previous week. He also shared that the support from his fans motivated him to release a new song from his upcoming album ahead of schedule.
The release of "Double Down" is scheduled for this Friday at midnight on February 2nd.
