Inside Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd’s Divorce: Child Support, Custody, and New Beginnings

  • by

Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd have officially completed their divorce after a judge approved the finalization of the process.

Based on legal records obtained by People magazine, the two country singers officially ended their relationship in Nashville on Tuesday (Jan. 30). This occurred shortly after they had already agreed on how to divide their property and handle child support in early January.

The former partners have come to an agreement on how to handle child support. As per the documents filed recently, Morris will provide $2,100 per month to Hurd for their child, and they will share custody of their son. They have also decided to divide their assets according to the prenuptial agreement and settlement terms.

Morris and Hurd have not discussed their breakup much on social media. However, during an interview on the Howard Stern Show in late 2023, Morris mentioned that she was not considering dating again at that time.

She expressed her desire for the divorce proceedings to be concluded soon, as she is currently preoccupied with other matters. She mentioned that she is focusing on her writing at the moment, using it as a way to express her emotions and experiences, similar to how some people use dating to connect with others.

What was the story behind Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd meeting each other?

Morris and Hurd were working together as songwriters in 2013 when they started a romantic relationship. They continued to work together and eventually got engaged in 2017, getting married the following year.
