Super Bowl 58 is shaping up to have the highest ticket prices ever seen in the history of the game. If you're looking to attend this year's Super Bowl, you'll need to be willing to pay top dollar as it is expected to be the most expensive one yet.
As of Thursday, the lowest priced single ticket available on the ticket resale website TickPick was $8,000. This ticket would provide seating in the upper 300 section, with the website ensuring that a seat is guaranteed for that price.
If the prices remain steady, this Super Bowl ticket could be considered the most expensive ever. The most expensive Super Bowl ticket to date was for the 2020 game, with an average ticket price of $6,370. The high prices that year were mainly due to the fact that the home team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, were playing. This year, however, the home team is not playing in the Super Bowl.
The upcoming Super Bowl will mark the first time it is being hosted in Las Vegas. Ticket experts believe this unique location is causing prices to increase, as fans are eager to enjoy a weekend in Sin City and finish it off with the renowned sporting event.
In case you were curious, the average price of a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was $12.
The location where the game takes place is a significant factor for fans of the 49ers. According to StubHub, a popular website for reselling tickets, 26 percent of ticket sales come from California, as local fans have a shorter distance to travel to watch their team play. In contrast, fans from Kansas and Missouri only account for a total of 7 percent of ticket sales on the website.
Let's also remember the influence of Taylor Swift! Her presence at the event may attract a larger number of female fans than usual.
Regardless of how you enter, Allegiant Stadium, with a seating capacity of 65,000, will be completely full. Super Bowl 58 is scheduled to start on Sunday, February 11, at 6:30PM ET.
