Bryan and Pardi decided to include their families in the music video for "Cowboys and Plowboys" because the song reflects their personal backgrounds. Pardi, originally from the West Coast, portrays the cowboy while Bryan, who hails from a family of peanut farmers, takes on the role of the plowboy.
Pardi mentioned to Taste of Country Nights that he and Luke both believed that the song was meant for them to sing together. He explained that the song is about cowboys and farmers.
Both singers have a history of including their family members in their music videos. Bryan had his wife and mother appear in the music video for his song "One Margarita" in 2020. On the other hand, Pardi featured his Australian Cattle Dog, Cowboy, in the music video for his song "Tequila Little Time" released in 2021.
Pardi's latest music release, "Cowboys and Plowboys," is his first since his Mr. Saturday Night album in 2022, excluding a Christmas album released last fall. He and his wife, Summer, had their first child, Presley, in February, and they have revealed that they are expecting their second child, another girl, in July.
