Get to know the farmers featured on Season 2 of Farmer Wants a Wife:
Ty Ferrell, 42, identifies more as a cowboy than a farmer due to his role as a team roper. He runs a 50-acre farm in Sikeston, Mo., where he raises horses and cattle. Ty has been involved in roping and riding since childhood. As one of the older farmers on the show, he is a divorced dad with a 12-year-old daughter. Ty is seeking a partner who can be both a companion and a caring mother figure for his child.
At 27 years old, Mitchell Kolinsky is a new farmer in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, who comes from a family that did not have previous experience in farming. His large piece of land is home to many animals and an old cabin from the 1800s, where he resides with his three dogs. Kolinsky's upbringing involved being around horses and spending much of his time outdoors, which inspired him to pursue a farming career. He currently runs his own farm with horses and cattle.
29-year-old Brandon Rogers is in charge of a large potato and barley farm spanning 1,000 acres in Center, Colorado. He resides in a small town with just one traffic light, surrounded by agricultural land. As a second-generation farmer, Rogers grew up helping his father on the farm and now runs the family business, aiming to carry on his dad's legacy.
Nathan Smothers, a 23-year-old farmer from Bartow, Florida, comes from a long line of farmers who have worked with citrus and cattle. He manages a large property that includes 300 acres of farmland and over 500 acres for his cattle. Despite his young age, Smothers has had to mature quickly after his father passed away when he was just 12 years old. He now takes on responsibilities to support his mother and three sisters.
The second season of the show "Farmer Wants a Wife" will debut on Fox at 9PM ET on Thursday, February 1st.
